Aspiration's Online Accounts Inventory

Thanks for your interest in the Building an Online Accounts Inventory Seminar.

As online tools proliferate and places where organizations store data online enumerate and scatter, Aspiration recommends that organizations keep track of all of the accounts created for organizational use and all of the places where organizational data lives online.

The following are the materials used during the training. These materials are distributed under a Creative Commons license, and we encourage re-use, modification, and re-distribution in any situation where they may be useful.

Provided for adaptation and reference are:

  • A simple Online Accounts Inventory Template for a nonprofit to fill in with a list of their organizational accounts.
  • For a real-world example, Aspiration’s Sample Online Accounts Inventory. This is a snapshot of how we keep track of where our data lives online and how we make sure to back-up regularly. Check it out but in no way feel that this is how your account inventory should look.

We encourage organizations to copy and adapt these spreadsheets for their own needs and to contact us at info@aspirationtech.org if you have any questions. Any feedback is much appreciated!

Join the California eAdvocacy Discuss List; an email list for those doing online advocacy. A space to collaborate, ask questions, discuss online strategy and connect with others.

So many good folks + topics at the summit!! I love the community you have fostered x1B. I came out so energized. Met new folks who I now love, and reconnected with old folks who I hadn't seen in *years*. w00t w00t and triple w00t!
