Open Call: Join the AI Openness & Equity Policy Leadership Cohort

While AI technologies are rapidly expanding, key concerns about its societal impacts are often overlooked for the sake of progress towards an AI future. The AI ecosystem is dominated by a handful of large tech companies, whose incentives misalign with the public interest. What's Ahead and What's Behind

On May 3, we visited the Nonprofit Innovation Center and the Center for Multicultural Cooperation in Sacramento as part of our Listening Tour to see what nonprofit's in the area are struggling with online. Last week, we had a great time in Modesto finishing up another Central Valley eAdvocacy training. Thanks to Congregations Building Community (CBC), CCROPP Merced County, El Concilio, and Plaza Comunitaria al Exito for attending and providing great input throughout the day!

Facebook Page vs. Group for Nonprofits

Hi All,

During our previous meet ups in Fresno, Modesto, and Visalia, several people had questions about how to best set up and use Facebook for their organization.

Currently, many orgs have individual Facebook profiles set up instead of using Facebook groups or pages.

To help you figure out what's right for you, here is a blog that explains why you shouldn't have an individual Facebook profile for your org and sorts the differences of a Facebook group vs. page.

Modesto, Fresno, and Visalia Shout Outs!

FresnoI am excited to say we had an adventurous week in Modesto, Fresno, and Visalia on a 3 day road trip. We had great food, talked to awesome people, and even finished our first Central Valley eAdvocacy Training in Fresno! There were 13 different organizations from Fresno and Visalia represented at the training. We had great local support from CMC and BGClubFC.
