Sitting Down with BHC South Sac-town

Who doesn’t like waking up at 6am to travel to beautiful and exotic Sacramento to start off their week? That’s just what Matt, Misty and Jessica did on Monday, May 14, 2012 and we enjoyed every moment of the visit together to meet with the South Sacramento BHC Hub and our partners, Zero Divide.

The South Sacramento Hub is one of the Building Healthy Communities of The California Endowment. While there we were introduced to BHC Hub Staff Alberto and Kim, along with Program Manager Christine.

During our visit we heard from Hub staff Alberto and Kim about the progress they, along with other staff, have made to plan and create sustainable online communications. We also heard from them about how they see technology to support their ultimate goals of building a healthier South Sacramento. We concluded the meeting with a rapid fire, post-it note brainstorm activity to learn what topics were lingering in the minds of the Hub staff.

We look forward to supporting the empowering work they are already doing. Many thanks for the warm welcome!

Gunner and the Aspiration team have been an incredible inspiration and resource for us at OpenNews. Our organization would not be the same without the open approach that Aspiration and Gunner model so well, and their ongoing coaching and support as our programs evolve. Thanks!
