ArtSpark and Aspiration Join Forces! ;)

We had a blast with Artspark at our San Francisco Nonprofit Technology Center back in January for a meet-up and learning event to discuss and share learning around how artist and art organizations are using technology to support their work.

ArtSpark is dropping in to the San Francisco Nonprofit Technology Center April 11th and 12th to bring their Artist and Arts Organization support and expertise to the Bay Area.

April 11th will be an informal mixer where Artists and Orgs can mingle and build community. Then, the morning of April 12th from 9am - 12pm, we’ll be hosting a learning session around Sustainability for artists and arts organizations.

What does “sustainability” look like for an individual artist? How about for an arts organization? Do social media and other other online channels help or hinder sustainability?

ArtSpark’s purpose is to continue building collective experience/experiments(!) around how artists and arts organizations can thrive and create sustainability.

Gunner and the Aspiration team have been an incredible inspiration and resource for us at OpenNews. From facilitating at events like MozFest, we learned about inclusive, engaging, collaborative event design that has shaped our own event SRCCON and influenced the community we serve in journalism.
