San Francisco August digital responder meetup

Event Date(s):
August 11, 2016

Calling all active, past, and potential digital responders! We want to know what you're up to, treat to you some snacks and beverages, and get to know why you do what you do. Join us for a lightly structured meetup on Thursday, August 11th from 5:30p to 7:30p in San Francisco's Mission neighborhood just off the 16th Street BART stop.

Whether working on the code for tracking infrastructure, struggling with how to tell a story about refugees using mobile technology, thinking about how to invest in a project without disrupting local economies, or wanting feedback on the latest design of your incident-reporting dashboard, we want you to be with friends and cohorts. Let's hang out, get to know each other, our projects, and brainstorm about challenges. By establishing bonds of trust, knowledge, and having explored and bettered our own projects and understandings, we'll be able to more effectively respond to the next extreme event together or individually.

So please bring your questions, your projects, your challenges. We'll provide the soda, beer, and snacks. We are tool- and sector-agnostic, so long as you are dedicated to listening, sharing, and empowerment. This month we'll focus especially on how we decide which projects and deployments we should work on.
