Aspiration is proud to host the Nonprofit Open Source Initiative (NOSI) as one of our programs.
Originally founded as a stand-alone project, NOSI became part of Aspiration in 2008.
As part of our NOSI efforts, we:
- Co-design and facilitate a broad range of events for free and open source software communities and organizations, including Tor Project, Mozilla, Benetech, Humanitarian OpenStreetMap, OpenStreetMap, Open Tech Fund, Lantern Project, Linux Foundation, and Hypothes.is.
- Provide free and low-cost advising on a range of strategic, governance and sustainability issues for nonprofits. In particular, we provide fundraising and business planning support to projects, and offer career counseling to individuals.
- Host Penguin Day events, where nonprofit staff can explore free and open source software solutions.
