We’re delighted to announce that Nitya Kuthiala has joined the inaugural AI Openness & Equity Policy Leadership Cohort as AI Policy Fellow at Aspiration!
The Policy Leadership Initiative’s vision is to build a diverse and inclusive network of practitioner voices, perspectives, and experiences, which would strengthen the field and drive better digital policy outcomes that support and expand digital justice for all. That’s why we’re thrilled to have Nitya on the team as we embark on this journey alongside a powerful network of technologists, advocates, and researchers working to shape more equitable and open AI policy in the EU and beyond.
In addition to co-creating the cohort alongside Raegan and cohort members, Nitya will play a key role in synthesising the rich, cross-disciplinary conversations with participants and visiting experts, distilling key insights to help frame the cohort’s final policy recommendations.
Nitya brings a unique perspective shaped by her work across technology policy, operations, and product strategy. Prior to joining Aspiration, she was a Senior Manager at Gamoteca, where she helped shape the startup’s generative AI strategy for game-based learning. She also led AI safety and project management for the International Rescue Committee’s first generative AI-powered educational chatbot, designed for use in conflict zones. Nitya holds a MSc. from the Oxford Internet Institute, and is currently based in London.
We’re excited for what’s ahead. Please join us in welcoming Nitya!
