Our second AI Openness & Equity Policy Leadership cohort session centered around understanding the intention, value, and suitability of open source when applied to AI. Our discussions tackled a foundational question: What does “openness” mean in the age of AI, and how can the values of open-source guide AI systems to serve the public good?
We've been working on something that we're pretty excited about—a new part of our website that gathers all of our training resources in one place. We hope that making these resources accessible and sharable will complement our live trainings and encourage you to reuse and repurpose the resources as need. As we prepare to launch, we'd love to share our progress and get your feedback on our page mock-ups before going live!

Thank you everyone who made the CA Tech Fest in L.A. extraordinary! We felt honored to host such a diverse and passionate gathering. On April 3rd and 4th, over 75 people with unique voices and goals came together in downtown L.A. to learn, share, and connect.
If there was ever a space conducive to storytelling, it would be the circle that forms around a campfire. It orients us towards a shared vision, encouraging a solidarity that's hard to see when we sit in rows, facing podiums, Power Points, and stages. So when I saw the circle of chairs awaiting us at the CA Tech Fest venue, I couldn't help but smile.
