Our 17th annual Nonprofit Software Development Summit took place 18-20 November, 2020. The event was hosted online, with as little fealty to surveilling corporate overlords as we could possibly cede.
Our 18th annual Nonprofit Software Development Summit took place 17-19 November, 2021. After much thought, we decided it was safest for us to hold the Dev Summit virtually for a second straight year.
Our collaborative annual gathering included everyone from grassroots activists to software developers, and brought together participants from around the world to share knowledge, build relationships, and collectively envision the future of free and open technology to support social change.
Across nonprofit and civil society ecosystems, a range of organizations and practitioners self-identify as "capacity builders", working to strengthen the sustainability and resilience of individuals and organizations so they can more fully participate, contribute and lead in justice movements and movement building.
In parallel with our in-person Dev Summit on 16-18 November, we hosted a virtual Dev Summit session designed for those who were not able to join in person, as well as folks who wanted to participate in both.
The focus of the virtual session was on skill-sharing, storytelling, and peer knowledge sharing, and as always, we built the agenda based on input from those participating.
The virtual session was an ephemeral event, meaning no persistent notes were taken.

We talked much less about software development that the event name might suggest, and much more about how digital technology can equitably, appropriately and accountably empower social, racial, and climate justice movements.
We are thrilled to have hosted the very first Digital Policy Leadership Summit, which took place 15-16 February, 2023 in Brussels, Belgium!
The Summit was a two-day community event focused on supporting emerging policy leaders. The event brought together experienced policy practitioners with those seeking to deepen and improve their skills and knowledge.
Software engineers far and wide came together to share knowledge, improve tools, and collectively move Reproducible Builds efforts forward at the seventh Reproducible Builds Summit.
The event was hosted at the wonderful dock europe in Hamburg, Germany.

The dates for the 2024 Dev Summit will be 20-22 November, 2024.
